Wild-Earth Guardians are proposing a plan to reintroduce Wolves to Colorado

IDAHO FALLS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is creating a plan to reintroduce wolves into the state.

However, the conservation group, Wild-Earth Guardians, is releasing its own plan.

The group says that the focus of the state has shifted too far toward limiting the wolf population, compensating livestock owners, and determining how to kill wolves.

The group's proposal would set up twelve zones that would be suitable for wolves. They say that they would like 750 wolves scattered across the state.

The group will present to CPW on Thursday.
