U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum offers free admission for dads this Father’s Day weekend

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum is waiving weekend admission fees for dads in honor of Father's Day.

While the museum only offered the discount for the actual holiday in 2021, fathers this year can redeem their free tickets for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

"This year we're doing it three days," Museum Marketing and Communications Director Tommy Schield said. "So it's gonna be the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Because sometimes dads might be golfing or enjoying the U.S. open or may even just have plans with the kids already, so we just want to give it more opportunity and more time for them to come on out and enjoy the museum."

At the museum, attendees can explore exhibits featuring Olympic artifacts like torches or medals, or participate in multi-media simulations to compete against animated athletes.

Fathers can get their complimentary tickets in person at the museum or online. Those purchasing their tickets online can access the discount by selecting "Fathers" at checkout.
