EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- According to a spokesperson from Fort Carson, crews are working to contain two small fires burning on training areas.

Officials with Fort Carson told KRDO the fires are small, both between two and five acres.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office previously stated three fires were burning, however, a spokesperson clarified that there were only two.

According to the sheriff's office, the smoke is visible from the north side of Pueblo County, particularly from Pueblo West.

The sheriff's office asks people to refrain from calling 911 about the Fort Carson fires because that is not in the PCSO's jurisdiction.

A spokesperson from Fort Carson says they'll provide further updates if needed.
