The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office finds human remains following Marshall Fire

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Wednesday, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office provided an update on the missing person's investigations associated with the Marshall Fire. According to officials, partial human remains of an adult were found.

According to the sheriff's office, investigators found the remains in the 5900 block of Marshall Road. The sheriff's office and coroner's office are still working the scene.

The investigation in the 1500 block of S. 76th St. in Superior remains ongoing.

The Boulder County Coroner's Office will identify the remains found and determine an official cause and manner of death.

At this time, officials were unable to provide an update on the cause of the fire.
