Arizona woman arrested in Colorado Springs for participating in US Capitol riot
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman who flew from Arizona to Washington, D.C. to take part in a violent riot at the US Capitol was arrested in Colorado Springs in late November.
According to court records, Lisa Anne Homer was arrested on Nov. 26 for federal charges related to the insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021.
Photos obtained by federal investigators show Homer at the Capitol wearing dark clothes and a "wraparound outer carrier vest that appears to show the outline of a protective rifle plate inside of the front compartment." On the carrier was a patch that said "Lions Not Sheep," and Homer was carrying a body-mounted camera.
Investigators used Homer's cell phone data to track her location throughout the inside of the Capitol.
Video obtained by investigators shows that she entered the building through a damaged doorway and started recording the scene with her phone, according to an affidavit.
Court records say that investigators found Homer's social media profiles, and they indicated that she posted images claiming that the election was stolen. Homer had also posted pictures while attending the "Million MAGA March" hosted by the Proud Boys on Nov. 14, 2020. Several Proud Boys organizers are facing federal charges for allegedly organizing the violent protest at the Capitol.
Homer is currently free on bond while awaiting trial. She faces charges for willfully disrupting a session of Congress.
