Pikes Peak 2021 small business week: Switchback Coffee Roasters
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- June 7th to 10th is small business week in the Pikes Peak region, and in honor of that, we took a closer look inside of Switchback Coffee Roasters' new Hillside location.
Against all odds, the small business opened at that location last year in the middle of the pandemic. Owner Brad Delgrosso said supporting small businesses now is just as important as it was during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak.
"By supporting a cafe like ours, you'll end up supporting our roastery. We also support a variety of local, small businesses," said Delgrosso. "One of the things about supporting a local, small business is you're probably supporting dozens of other small businesses, as well."
In addition to sourcing the ingredients for their coffees and pastries locally, Delgrosso said having equitable options for customers is important, too. Switchback Coffee Roasters has more affordable options for both their drip coffees and pastries, which are made in house.

Switchback Coffee Roasters is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 909 E. Moreno Ave. and from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 330 N Institute Street.
