Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Toasty! – 6/5/2021

Overview:  We’re tracking some summery weather with few chances for rain.

Today:  Partly cloudy with a slight chance for a shower or possibly a crack of thunder over and near the mountains, but showers will be few and far between today. High temperatures in the 80s and 90s for most areas, but the mountains will remain in the 70s.

Tonight:  Any evening showers over and near the mountains will end, then partly cloudy with low temperatures in the 50s to near 60 for the plains; 40s to lower 50s over the mountains.

Sunday:  Partly cloudy and not quite as warm with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely for more areas. Sunday afternoon and evening will likely bring us our best chance for rain for a while.  High temperatures should reach the 80s and 90s again for the plains with 70s over the mountains, but afternoon showers and shade should help take the edge off of the heat a little.

Extended:  Most of next week looks very warm to hot with little chance for significant rain. There could be isolated showers or thunderstorms over the mountains occasionally, but even there we don’t expect very much rain. By the end of the week, we could be quite hot with temperatures in the 90s to lower 100s for the plains.
