Man shot at, injured in face, during reported road rage incident

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs police are searching for a suspect accused of shooting at another driver in the face during a road rage incident.

Tuesday around 10:13 a.m., officers with the Gold Hill Division were dispatched to the area of 19th Street and Uintah Street on reports of a possible shooting.

According to police, the victim was driving east on Highway 24 from 30th Street in a white jeep Cherokee, when a confrontation began with a gray-colored Toyota 4Runner with an unknown license plate number.

The altercation continued to the area of 21st St., 19th St., and 18th St, towards Uintah St.

Once in the area of Uintah St., the victim said an occupant of the 4Runner pointed what appeared to be a black colored rifle with a scope and fired one shot into his vehicle.

The victim was injured in the left cheek and went to a local hospital for treatment. No word on whether the victim drove himself or if he was taken to the hospital.

Responding officers say they searched the area where the incident happened but did not find the suspect's vehicle.

  1. These types of incidents are so common in ColoFornia Springs today and the radical America hating Marxist Democrats who want to destroy America are trying to take law abiding people gun rights away. SMH.
