Colorado Springs dealerships donate thousands of masks for Personal Protective Equipment Day

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Phil Long Ford dealerships in Colorado Springs are partnering with the Ford Motor Company to participate in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Day. The event is part of Ford’s #FinishStrong campaign to distribute millions of donated face masks throughout the United States by mid-2021.

At the Phil Long Ford Dealership of Chapel Hills, they plan on distributing 15,000 masks in honor of PPE day.

"We got to get ahold of this virus and get it stopped," said Chris Datone, General Manager of Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills. "Hopefully we're on the back end of this pandemic."

Masks will be distributed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., or while supplies last, at the Chapel Hills location, and the Phil Long Ford of Motor City.

Those who pick up masks at the Chapel Hills dealership can even meet retired Broncos legend Randy Gradishar and receive a personalized autograph picture.

As part of PPE Day, our Colorado Phil Long Ford Dealerships will also donate approximately 13,500 additional face masks to local nonprofit organizations; including Shield 616, Pikes Peak United Way, and the Mount Carmel Veterans Service Center.

LOCATIONS OF MASK GIVEAWAYS:

Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills, 1565 Auto Mall Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.

Phil Long Ford of Motor City, 1212 Motor City Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
