Colorado Springs teen shot while walking on East Pikes Peak Avenue Monday night

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - A 17-year-old boy was shot while walking down East Pikes Peak Ave Monday night.

According to Colorado Springs Police, the teen was walking on the south side of the 4000 block of E. Pikes Peak around 10:00 pm Monday night, when he heard two gunshots ring out.

Police said the boy started running east toward his home, when he realized he had been shot. According to officers, the teen didn't know which direction the shots came from, didn't see or hear anyone in the area, and didn't see a car. No other information about this incident was available.
