Man stabbed while hiking in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Around 10:30 Friday night, Colorado Springs police responded to a call of a stabbing near Weber and Bijou.

The victim told police he was stabbed twice in the back three days earlier while hiking on the trail near I-25 and Cimarron. He said he was having trouble breathing and asked a friend to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital, where he was admitted with serious injuries.

Police have very little information about a suspect and said the investigation is ongoing.
