CSP investigating motorcycle accident

Colorado State Patrol is investigating a single vehicle motorcycle crash that happened on Highway 165, just west of Colorado City, Sunday afternoon.

According to state patrol, witnesses say that a motorcycle was traveling fast and making unsafe passes as it headed in the westbound direction, and then failed to navigate a right-hand curve and went off the left edge of the road into an embankment.

The driver, 40 year old Clinton Walker of Rye, CO, was ejected after the motorcycle rolled a number of times. Walker was flown to Pueblo Medical Center with serious injuries.

Highway 165 was closed for around thirty minutes this afternoon to allow a medivac to land, but is now back open.

Both speed and alcohol are being considered by CSP as factors in this crash investigation.
