Colorado.com

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is celebrating Colorado Day by offering free entry to all Colorado state parks on Monday, August 3.

Colorado Day is celebrated on August 1 every year, and CPW honors the annual holiday on the first Monday of August every year.

The entry fee is waived, but you will still need to pay for camping reservations and hunting and fishing licenses.

So, lace up your hiking boot and visit one of Colorado's 41 state parks this Monday!

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is also offering free admission to all state parks for military members for the month of August.

Military members and veterans must show proof of military service and obtain the free pass from any Colorado state park or CPW office.

Military members must be in the vehicle using the pass. All other park fees are still charged.
