Money Matters: Local resources for job seekers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - With the additional $600 unemployment payment ending this week, many people have ramped up their job search efforts.

Local resources are here to help you find and transition to a new job.

The State has set up the Connecting Colorado website. The site is aimed to help job seekers and employers.

According to the State, since July 1, there have been over 16,000 new job postings. The site also has the latest on job trends in Colorado.

If you need access to a computer to put your resume together or to apply for jobs, Workforce Centers around the state can help.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center allows job seekers to use computers along with offering job coaching.

RecruitMilitary is helping local veterans, on August 13 there will be a virtual career fair.

If you know of resources or companies that are helping job seekers at this time, reach out to Hanna.Knutson@krdo.com.
