Colorado Springs firefighters say someone dumped two drums of chemicals on the side of the road

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department tweeted that they responded to a hazmat incident at Fillmore and Sinton Rd Wednesday afternoon.

According to the tweet, someone dumped two 55 gallon drums of a dark chemical on the side of the road. A tweet said the chemical was oil, but firefighters later clarified that it was a cleaning agent.

The fire department is asking people to call police if they saw any vehicle in the area. You can call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000.
