Police investigating after 2 teens shot at Fountain 7-Eleven

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday at a 7-Eleven along Fountain Mesa Road.

The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. Officers arrived and found a 19-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy with gunshot wounds. Both of them were taken to the hospital. The 19-year-old suffered serious injuries, and the 14-year-old suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to a spokesperson with the Fountain Police Department.

It's not yet clear what led to the shooting, but police are working on getting more evidence, including surveillance video from the inside of the convenience store. At least one car connected to the incident is still at the scene, and police found one gun near a gas pump.

No arrests have been made at this time.
