CDOT closes I-70 for maintenance operations

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Department of Transportation will close I-70 from Frisco to Vail Pass Thursday.

The closure will start at 11 a.m. and is expected to last until the early afternoon hours.

The closure is due to winter maintenance operations. CDOT says the safety closure is to prepare for a busy Presidents Day weekend.

Travelers should also plan for winter weather conditions.
