COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Police have issued a shelter-in-place for residents in the 2400 block of Willamette Ave. in east Colorado Springs while they search for a suspect.

Police say the suspect is wanted for a disturbance that happened earlier Sunday morning but could not offer more details.

As a precautionary measure, police issued the shelter alert while searching for the suspect. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, wearing a dark jacket and light-colored hoodie with jeans, according to a CSPD lieutenant.

Police are asking residents to call CSPD at 719-444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP if they see the suspect.
