Colorado Springs Airport easier than Denver for Thanksgiving travelers

IMG_2275

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is said to be the busiest day of the year when it comes to travel, and it was made even busier with the large storm that slammed Colorado Springs Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Much of the travel that was supposed to take place on Tuesday ended up being pushed forward to Monday night or pushed back to Wednesday.

This was despite the fact that Tuesday actually proved to be a fairly easy day for the Colorado Springs Airport, with the majority of the delays or cancelations primarily coming from Denver.

With plenty of people rescheduling their flights for Wednesday, it's important to remember to get to the airport early and pack your patience, especially during the holiday season. Don't forget, the airport is offering 50% off long terms parking through the new year.
