MONUMENT, Colo. -- Christmas is almost here! In just a few short weeks Santa will be teaming up with the Monument Police Department, the Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Department, the Palmer Lake Police Department, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and Toys for Tots to deliver toys and good cheer to many children in the Tri-Lakes area.

Instead of a sleigh and reindeer, Santa will be accompanied by police cars and fire trucks with lights flashing and sirens blaring! He will be assisted by elves from the Fire and Police Departments.

Santa and his elves will be visiting the children in the Tri-Lakes area on Saturday morning, December 14, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. If you hear loud noises in your area during that time look out your window as it may be Santa and his elves visiting your neighborhood.

This year the Monument Police Department is partnering with Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots will have boxes at various locations around Town. All Toys collected will be donated to Santa on Patrol. If you are considering donating to any program this holiday season, we encourage you to remember our local children and their needs.

New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the following locations:

Monument Police Department located at 645 Beacon Lite Road

Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Department Administration offices located at 16055 Old Forest Point, Ste 103

Wal-Mart located at 16218 Jackson Creek Pkwy

St. Peters Catholic Church located at 55 Jefferson St.

Lewis Palmer High School located at 1300 Higby Rd.

Palmer Ridge High School located at 19255 Frontage Rd.

All gift cards can be delivered to the Monument Police Department.
