Forecast: Dry conditions expected in Colorado

Capture

Today: The mid-level cloud layer that was in place across central Colorado this morning has cleared out leaving us with clear skies and an overall beautiful Tuesday. Upper-level northwesterly flow will transport slightly cooler temperatures into the state. High temperatures still ranging 5-10 degrees below seasonal averages today, 49 degrees in Colorado Springs and 51 in Pueblo.

A brief warm-up in the forecast, back to the high 50s in Colorado Springs as the jetstream will push slightly northeast. Another day with clear skies and no precipitation chances along with light winds.

Extended: Entering into a dry spell this week as computer model runs are keeping the vast majority of Colorado dry even through this coming weekend. That means the drought conditions will likely continue if not worsen over the next 7 days.
