Police arrests suspect in attempted murder at Taco Bell

    TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department and investigators have arrested the suspect in the attempted murder at Taco Wednesday night.

The suspect, who TPD has identified as Mia Williams, was taken into custody around 5 a.m. Thursday morning in the area of Pensacola Street and White Drive.

TPD says the suspect will be charged under the name ‘Mia Williams.’

Police say the victim is in serious condition after Williams allegedly poured gasoline on the victim and set the victim on fire at the Taco Bell on South Monroe Street.

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating an attempted murder at Taco Bell on South Monroe Street.

The incident took place at Taco Bell on 2806 South Monroe Street.

At about 6:18 p.m. Wednesday, TPD responded to the Taco Bell in reference to an aggravated battery.

Tallahassee Police say a person doused a victim with gasoline and set them on fire on the Taco Bell property. The suspect then ran from the scene.

The victim was taken to a hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.

The suspect, 32-year-old Mia Williams, who identifies as a black female, was last seen wearing a black shirt with white writing, tan capri styled pants, and a red wrap on her head. Williams also had several necklaces around her neck.

A FAMU alert stated the suspect was last seen heading south bound away from FAMU’s campus.

This case has been assigned to investigators with TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit. Investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to please call them at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
