Pueblo construction worker struck in apparent hit-and-run

Pueblo Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in what appears to be a hit-and-run involving a construction worker.

Around 11 p.m. Wednesday, Pueblo police were dispatched to the southbound lanes of I-25 in between City Center Drive and Ilex. A highway construction crew worker was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

According to a post on the Pueblo Police Department’s Facebook page, the construction worker was transported to Parkview medical and sustained serious injuries.

Police do not say whether they have a person of interest at this time. However, they do have the make and model of the vehicle in question. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer Ford F-150 full cab (four-door), colored red with black around the wheel wells. It will possibly have damage on the driver’s side.

If you have any information you are encouraged to call Pueblo Police at 553-2502.
