Pre-evacuation notice issued to some Howard residents due to Decker Fire activity

Howard residents were placed on pre-evacuation notice by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office Saturday morning due to an increase of activity at the Decker Fire.

Decker Fire officials reported a hot spot that became very active this morning, according to a Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office.

Prevailing winds run the risk of pushing the fire into residential areas, putting Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the Howard area are on pre-evacuation notice as of 11:30 a.m.
