Fatal accident on Ellicott Highway leaves 1 dead
Colorado State Troopers are investigating a fatal car accident at Judge Orr Road and Ellicott Highway southeast of Peyton.
The crash happened just before 8:00 p.m. Monday. In a press release, Colorado State Patrol says the driver of a Jeep Cherokee failed to yield the right of way at an intersection, and was struck by a Ford F-350.
The Jeep rolled over. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured.
At this time, the names of the drivers are being withheld until family can be notified. The crash remains under investigation, though drugs or alcohol are not considered to be factors in this crash.
