Fort Carson soldier arrested for child prostitution

A teen soldier stationed at Fort Carson was arrested in late August for multiple felony charges related to child prostitution, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Pvt. David Guerra, 19, was arrested by military police on Fort Carson and is charged with soliciting for child prostitution, patronizing a prostituted child, inducement of child prostitution, and keeping a place of child prostitution.

CSPD says investigators got a tip from a juvenile victim on Aug. 26 that Guerra wanted a “sex-for-hire arrangement.” Days later, CSPD had an arrest warrant for Guerra, and he was taken into custody.

Guerra, of Adelanto, California, is a Cavalry Scout with the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, according to his service record provided by Fort Carson. He’s been in the Army for one year.

Police believe there may be more victims that haven’t been identified yet. If anyone believes they were a victim or has any information about additional victims, call CSPD at 719-444-7729.
