Climber fell, rescued after prosthetic leg became stuck in rocks

A man who was rock scrambling on a Flatiron in Boulder’s Chautauqua Park suffered injuries from a fall after his prosthetic leg became caught in rocks, report our news partners at KUSA.

According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, at about 4:10 p.m. the man was trying to climb down the 2nd Flatiron when his prosthetic leg became caught in rocks. The man, who is in his early 50’s, fell about 15 feet and sustained an upper leg injury, said authorities.

A rescue team arrived on the scene, located the inured climber, and treated him for his injuries. He was later transported to a local hospital.
