16-Hour I-25 lane closure cancelled

Update: CDOT announced Thursday morning that there will no longer be a 16-hour lane closure on I-25 southbound Saturday night into Sunday afternoon.

CDOT says the closure is canceled until further notice. A project team is evaluating alternative methods to install the drainage repairs that work best for the public and the project itself.

Previous Story

One southbound lane on I-25 will be closed for 16 hours this weekend to complete drainage improvements.

The closure will be from County Line Road to Highway 105 in Monument.

Work will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 and go until 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18. One southbound lane will remain open. Northbound lanes will not be affected.

Despite it being just a two-mile closure, CDOT anticipates heavy traffic and delays in the area.

Make sure you plan ahead and give yourself extra time if you are traveling south of Larkspur.
