Pueblo woman seriously injured after being thrown from vehicle

Pueblo police are investigating after a woman was thrown from a moving vehicle in the northeast side of town.

It happened at about 10:15 a.m. near 21st and Norwood Ave.

Pueblo police officers reviewed surveillance video and found a silver or gray hatchback driving east on 21st Street before the rear driver’s side door opened; then the victim fell onto the road. The hatchback then fled the scene going west on the Highway 50 bypass.

The victim was identified as a 32-year-old woman, and detectives say they want to interview the driver and occupants of the vehicle to figure out what happened.
