Mainly dry day with evening storms – 7/31/19

TODAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are in the forecast for much of the day. Highs will top off in the 90s and 100s with 80s over the mountains. A few storms move into the mountains by 4pm today, with chances for active weather in the lower elevations along I-25 at 5pm and after. The Colorado, New Mexico border area will see storms as early as 1PM today.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and dry after 9pm with lows cooling to the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Our best day for storms this week looks like tomorrow. Highs will be slightly cooler because of that. Right now it looks like one or two storms could become strong, possibly even severe. We will see storm chances and cooler highs each day through early next week.
