Date set for 2020 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

The date has been set for next year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Hill Climb officials announced the 2020 race will happen on June 28, and the Fan Fest will be on June 26.

Motorcycles won’t be taking part in next year’s race while organizers work on safety aspects to potentially bring the two-wheeled vehicles back to the race. That move was made after Carlin Dunne lost his life on June 30, when he crashed his motorcycle just short of the finish line.

The Hill Climb started a little over 100 years ago, but next year’s race will be the 98th running up the mountain.

We’ll be there to bring live coverage and updates from the mountain.
