Suspect at-large after Colorado Springs Shooting

Police are on the lookout for a shooting suspect, after a robbery that took a violent turn on the city’s Eastside about 6:00 p.m. Thursday night.

A Sergeant at the scene tells KRDO that the two men involved had arranged to meet in order to sell an item.

The two subjects agreed to meet at a spot near Airport Road and South Academy Blvd, but when they met up, the deal turned into a robbery, and the victim was shot.

It’s not clear if the victim was the would-be seller, or buyer.

The victim chased the suspect as he headed northbound up Academy, but he eventually pulled into the Citadel Crossing shopping center to call for medical aid.

He was rushed to the hospital, while his car was towed by CSPD detectives.

This is a developing story, and we are awaiting further details as far as a suspect description.

That person remained at-large Thursday evening.
