Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms dissipating through the rest of the evening. Heavy rainfall amounts have been produced by these storms so localized flooding will be the biggest concern. Gradually turning mostly clear with temperatures in the high 50’s to low 60’s.

Monday: The classic trend of morning sunshine with increasing cloud coverage and afternoon scattered thunderstorms will again be likely. High temperatures across the I-25 corridor will reach into the low 90’s with HWY 50 flirting with 100. Strong outflow wind gusts, heavy downpours, and occasional lightning will be the primary weather threats in the strongest of storms tomorrow.

Extended: Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be likely again for Tuesday with precipitation chances decreasing significantly by Wednesday. Main weather story Wed-Fri will be the scorching heat, low 100’s for much of SE Colorado. El Paso County will be slightly cooler, low 90’s.
