Garden of the Gods Trading Post celebrates 90th anniversary

The Garden of the Gods Trading Post celebrated 90 years with a book signing and native poetry demonstration on Saturday and Sunday.

Pat and Kim Messier discussed and signed their book, “Images of America: Garden of the Gods Trading Post.”

Indigenous Potter Rosemary Lonewolf was also at the event demonstrating her clay techniques.

Lonewolf’s native clay methods date back two thousand years to ancient Southwest cliff dweller times. Her native clay pots are included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institution.
