Update: suspect arrested for Colorado Springs December homicide

The Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested Felix Jacques, 27, for the killing of Robbie London, 43, on December 20, 2018.

The Grand Jury for the Fourth Judicial District indicted Jacques on two counts of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.

Jacques was being held in Lincoln, NE at the Lancaster County Department of Corrections for unrelated charges at the time of his arrest. The District Attorney’s office will extradite the suspect from Nebraska.

Officers arrived around 2 p.m. on December 20 to find London dead in his apartment on Delta Drive from a gunshot wound. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed the case as a homicide. London’s death was the 37th homicide of 2018 investigated by the CSPD, an increase from 31 homicides in 2017.

An anonymous resident of the Whitney Young Manor apartments, where the homicide took place, said that she heard gunfire around 10 p.m. the previous night.

The apartments are on the city’s southeast side, near the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Chelton Road.
