Tonight: The severe thunderstorms from this afternoon have now exited Colorado and no longer pose a threat. Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies for many, with light winds and temperatures in the low 50’s to high 40’s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy skies with the chance for morning rain showers after 8am. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than the last few days with high’s to about 71 in Colorado Springs. By early afternoon its likely that a few of the rain showers will intensify and turn severe, with hail chances, strong winds gusts, and lightning. Heavy rain is possible for higher mountainous areas in Central/Southern Colorado. Prompting Flash Flood Watches for the Hayden Pass, Junkins, and Spring burn scars through the day. Rain showers and thunderstorms clear out during the overnight hours.

Extended: Entering into a slight warming trend by late week with temperatures back to the high 70’s to 80’s by Saturday. Afternoon scattered thunderstorms likely through Friday.
