Woman stabbed in east Colorado Springs, officers investigating

Officers found a 35-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds near the intersection of Nevada and Fillmore late Monday night.

Officers were called to the scene for a report of a stabbing. The woman was transported to the hospital where her injuries were found to be serious but not life-threatening.

Further investigation revealed that the assault happened in a vehicle after a verbal altercation and the victim was dropped off near 200 E. Fillmore St.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no danger to the public.
