04/20/19 Forecast Discussion
Tonight: Isolated showers still working their way through Colorado. These showers incredibly spotty and not severe. The best chance for a few lightning strikes will be west of I-25 in the higher elevations. Precipitation will end before midnight. Temperatures dropping into the high 40’s overnight and the winds calm to 5-10mph.
Easter: Starting off the day partly cloudy and relatively pleasant. Temperatures will hit into the high 60’s by early afternoon. And this is the time frame when I’d anticipate a few dark clouds to start gathering over the mountains. Afternoon scattered thunderstorms are likely with intermittent sunshine. The potential exists for a few of these thunderstorms to be severe with hail, lightning, and gusty winds.
Extended: Not clearing up much to start off the week. Mountain snow showers and valley rain are in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday. Then by Wednesday, things start to clear up and we’ll see temperatures back into the ’70s.
