Blizzard Warning Wednesday 4-9-19

TONIGHT: Temperatures remaining fairly warm overnight, staying in the high 40’s for the Colorado Springs area and partly cloudy.

TOMORROW: Quiet start to the morning with more clouds than sunshine. Cold front races through by the afternoon hours increasing winds yielding a colder and windier afternoon. Showers, storms, snow all expected by Wednesday. Most areas getting rain first then changing over to wind-driven wet snow by the afternoon-evening hours. Flash freeze is possible by the evening hours for northern El Paso County and the Palmer Divide alongside with lower visibility/whiteout conditions due to the high wind component with this system. Snow will likely linger into the morning hours for Thursday before gradually clearing out by Thursday afternoon.

EXTENDED: Another system moves through by Friday afternoon-Saturday morning bringing a chance for light to moderate accumulations of snow before gradually warming and clearing out by Sunday.
