Blizzard warning issued; Colorado braces for another storm

Northern El Paso County is under a blizzard warning as of 2 p.m. through noon Thursday for a winter storm that’s expected to move through the state Wednesday.

It also looks like northeast Colorado, including the Denver metro area, could be in for another blizzard.

Up to 8 inches (20.3 centimeters) of snow and winds gusting as high as 60 mph (96.5 kph) are possible for the northeastern area of the state, which also includes Fort Collins, Greeley, Fort Morgan and Limon.

Winter storm warnings are posted for surrounding areas, including Boulder, Estes Park, Steamboat Springs, Vail and Aspen. Some mountain areas could receive a foot (30.5 centimeters) or more of snow.

The storm comes after a blizzard struck much of the same area of the state last month.
