Woman found dead with gunshot wounds in Colorado Springs Walmart parking lot

The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating a death at the Walmart on S. 8th St.

The Violent Crimes unit is responding to this incident.

Police got to the scene just before 3:30 a.m. and found a woman dead inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide and have a suspect in custody, but neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified at this time.

Investigators are currently looking into exactly where this shooting may have happened. Investigators are also looking into the possibility that this may have been an assisted suicide, though that has not been confirmed at this time.
