Officers search Florissant home of Kelsey Berreth’s fianc
UPDATE, 2:45 p.m.: Woodland Park Police said it’s “absolutely a possibility” that Kelsey Berreth is still alive, but few updates were given during a news conference Friday afternoon about her disappearance.
Friday morning, investigators executed a search warrant at the Florissant home of Patrick Frazee, Kelsey Berreth’s fiance. The search is still ongoing and is expected to take up to three days.
During the news conference, Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said the search warrant was obtained because they had enough evidence to convince a judge that there was probable cause for suspicious activity. The warrant is still under seal.
De Young said, “Based on information developed and because of the length of time since Kelsey was last seen, investigators believe her disappearance is more suspicious and she’s not intentionally avoiding being found.”
Frazee hasn’t been named as a suspect or person of interest, and officials are still calling the investigation a “missing persons case.”
But despite Frazee’s attorney saying the fiance has been fully cooperative with police, WPPD said Frazee still hadn’t been directly questioned by officers.
“We are asking Patrick to sit down and answer some questions,” De Young said.
Fourth Judicial District Attorney Dan May also spoke at the conference and called the investigation “a fluid situation,” and said that the FBI and Colorado Bureau of Investigations are directly involved.
Berreth and Frazee have a child together, and the child is currently with Frazee. In response to a question during the news conference, De Young said Frazee hasn’t taken the child to see her grandmother.

A search warrant is being executed at Kelsey Berreth’s fiance’s home in Florissant as investigators work to figure out what led to Berreth’s disappearance.

According to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, Patrick Frazee was present at the scene and wasn’t under arrest during the search. Frazee and the couple’s child were driven from the search scene at about 10:45 a.m.
At about 1 p.m., Frazee’s pickup truck was towed away from the scene.
The sheriff’s office says there are about 75 people at the property. Investigators were still working to secure the perimeter as of 10 a.m., but there’s yet been no sign of Berreth at the property. Investigators say the search could take up to three days.
Frazee’s attorney says Frazee was “never asked to voluntarily participate in this search.”
“We encourage law enforcement to take whatever steps it deems necessary to find Kelsey Berreth and to be able to exclude Mr. Frazee as a possible suspect in this missing person investigation,” the statement from Jeremy Loew, Frazee’s attorney, said.

Woodland Park Police say the disappearance of a 29-year-old mother is being treated as a missing person case with no suspects.
Berreth was last seen in a Safeway grocery store in Woodland Park , but the last person she was said to be in contact with was her fiance, Patrick Frazee. Woodland Park Police said Frazee received a text message from her on Nov. 25.
Berreth’s phone was last pinged on Nov. 25 in south-central Idaho, police said. Nothing was missing from her home other than her purse.
At a press conference Monday in Woodland Park. ( VIDEO ) Police called Berreth’s case a missing person case, and not a suspected abduction or kidnapping. They also informed the public that Berreth requested time off work.
Frazee wasn’t in attendance at the conference, and our ABC News partner asked why. Police referred media to ask Frazee, himself.
Wednesday, an attorney representing Frazee released a statement saying he was only informed of the conference an hour before it took place and didn’t have enough notice to make it in time. It’s not clear where Frazee was when the conference was announced; his home address is in Florissant.
“Mr. Frazee hopes and prays for [Kelsey] Berreth’s return,” the statement says. “[He] will continue to cooperate with law enforcement and continue to parent the child he shares with Ms. Berreth.”
Berreth dropped their daughter off with Frazee on Nov. 22, but we don’t have many other details surrounding her disappearance. Police said she had requested time off work, but no clues have come to light about where she currently is.
Woodland Park Police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations are still working on the case, and according to the attorney statement, Frazee has been a part of the investigation.
Speculators on social media are pointing the finger at her fiance for answers, but his lawyer says he’s been fully cooperative with law enforcement and has allowed multiple searches and interviews.
