Colorado Springs police officer suffers minor injury after man tries to get away

Officers received a disturbance call late Tuesday night and on the way to the scene, they discovered the suspect had an active warrant for his arrest.

Police located 21-year-old Tryvone Brooks at a business in the 13000 block of Bass Pro Drive. Brooks then ran from officers.

When officers contacted Brooks, he resisted arrest by kicking at them. As a result, one officer sustained a minor injury to his hand but was able to remain in service.

Brooks was arrested for the outstanding warrant, second-degree assault on a police officer and obstruction.
