Caring for Alzheimer’s wife, TV Exec reveals new romance

Former model and high-profile celebrity chef, B. Smith has been battling Alzheimer’s for the past six years and most recently attention has turned to her husband who has a girlfriend.

In a story published by The Washington Post, B. Smith’s husband, Dan Gasby continues to take care of his wife of over two decades and has now gone public with his girlfriend.

Gasby’s girlfriend, Alex Lerner even has her own room at their home. Gasby explained that his life as a caretaker had become empty and overwhelming. He said that the most important thing is making sure B feels loved and secure.

Gasby also said since B can’t comprehend relationships in her current state, she would understand him finding love with another woman.
