Colorado police say a man wearing body armor has died after exchanging gunfire with officers.

They said another man found Tuesday in a nearby Aurora home also died of gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred about 2 a.m. Tuesday after Aurora police received a 911 call of an armed man acting erratically.

A police news release said officers heard gunfire when they arrived at a home and were confronted by the man in the body armor. The man was struck when shots were exchanged. No officers were hurt.

The other man was found in the house.

Both men died at a hospital. Their names were not immediately released.
