Weather Alert Continues 1-11-19

TONIGHT: North winds have really begun to dry out locations between the Springs and Pueblo. Snow will continue through the Palmer Divide and northern portions of El Paso and Teller counties with an additional 1-3″.

Northeast facing slopes of the Southern Mountains and the southern I-25 corridor will also see additional accumulations ranging from 2-6″. Rain continues changing to snow across the Southeastern Plains. Roads will continue to deteriorate overnight with lows in the teens and 20s.

TOMORROW: Snow will continue to wind down for most areas by morning. Additional snow showers are then expected mainly over the higher terrain throughout the day. Some flurries or a quick passing snow shower is possible through the Pikes Peak Region. Any accumulations under these snow showers will stay on the lighter end closer to 1-2″. Highs temps Saturday afternoon climb to the 30s with a few low 40s possible.

EXTENDED: Sunday brings a few more snow showers mainly for the Sangres and San Juans. Temps remain chilly as we see low stratus clouds hang around due to upslope flow. Highs will also remain in the 30s and low 40s. We warm slightly into next week with drier conditions until late week.
