Deputies in Iowa arrest ‘The Grinch,’ charged him with ‘attempting to steal Christmas’

A sheriff’s office’s Facebook post is going viral in Iowa after officers told residents of Maquoketa they can sleep well this Christmas Eve because “The Grinch” has been taken into custody.

The Jackson County Iowa Sheriff’s Office posted pictures of the suspect to their Facebook with the caption, “Today, 12/24/2018, Jackson County Deputies arrested THE GRINCH, whose heart was two sizes too small. The Grinch was transported to the Jackson County Detention Center. He has shown considerable improvement with his Christmas spirit, and will be released once his heart has finished growing three sizes. His dog Max has been enjoying his day riding along with deputies, and will be returned to the reformed Grinch upon his release.”
