Cool and Dry Thursday 12-19-18

TONIGHT: Winds continue to decrease throughout the overnight. Skies remain partly cloudy to mostly clear. Lows cool to the low 20s and upper teens.

TOMORROW: The cooler airmass that settled in today will linger into tomorrow with highs remaining in the 40s to near 50. Winds will be much lighter with plenty of sunshine so it will feel like a nice December day.

EXTENDED: Changes arrive again into Friday as breezy west winds pick up during the day elevating the fire danger. Temps will be much warmer with highs in the 50s and 60s. Between the warmth, winds and a dry airmass, a Fire Weather Watch has been issued along the I-25 corridor for Friday. The warm weather is short lived as a cold front arrives for the weekend cooling temps back to the 30s and 40s. There is a chance for a few snow showers Saturday night but a more significant storm is in the offing following Christmas Day. Mild and dry conditions look likely for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
