Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Cool And Breezy – 12/9/18

Today: We’ll be partly cloudy and breezy at times today with high temperatures again in the 40s for the plains, mainly 30s over the mountains. Clouds over and near the mountains could produce a few flakes today, and our far eastern counties could also receive a few flakes, but we aren’t expecting significant snowfall anywhere today. The wind should be most notable over northern and eastern areas, as well as over the mountains at times with wind gusts to between 20 and 25 mph possible this afternoon.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with low temperatures in the 20s for the plains, teens over the mountains.

Extended: Monday looks a little warmer and probably a bit breezy at times during the afternoon. Tuesday will probably be the warmest day of the week but it also looks to be a windy day with some thick cloud cover possible at times. Wednesday should be dry, less windy and a little cooler. We’re tracking a storm that looks to bring wind and colder air to the area Wednesday night into Thursday. It does appear possible that this storm could bring accumulating snow to the area leading to slick travel for some. Friday looks dry and cool right now.
