Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Cool Weekend – 12/8/18

Today: We’ll be pretty chilly this morning, but a little warmer for many areas this afternoon. The wind shouldn’t be too strong, but it’s possible that some clouds will develop over parts of the area at times. A few snow showers and/or flurries are expected over the Continental Divide, and although it’s possible a few flakes could pop up over and near our local mountain areas too we aren’t expecting snow to be a major problem anywhere today. We expect high temperatures to reach the 40s for the plains, mainly 30s over the mountains.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with low temperatures in the 20s for the plains, teens over the mountains.

Extended: The wind should pick up a bit on Sunday, Monday looks a little warmer. Tuesday will probably be the warmest day of the week but it also looks to be a windy day with some thick cloud cover possible at times. Wednesday should be dry, less windy and a little cooler . We’re tracking a storm that looks to bring wind and colder air to the area Wednesday night into Thursday. It does appear possible that this storm could bring accumulating snow to the area leading to slick travel for some. Friday looks dry and cool right now.
